ABoUT ME

I am a designer, fiber, and plein-air sketchbook artist, and the Manager of School and Studio Programs at the Burchfield Penney Art Center.
My practice is rooted in observation and material exploration. Through drawing and painting in my sketchbooks, I can capture fleeting moments—light, texture, and place—using drawing as both a language and a tool for reflection and storytelling. My fiber arts practice focuses on the intentional creation of garments. Exploring various heritage handicrafts, from knitting, crochet, weaving, and nalbinding. I explore structure, pattern, and wearability, creating pieces that are meant to be lived in and that reflect time, care, and process. As a museum educator, I design programs that help learners—especially young audiences—build creative confidence, curiosity, and a sense of personal voice through engagement with art. I have a BA in Visual Art and New Media from SUNY Fredonia and an MA in Museum Studies from Buffalo State University, with a focus on Museum Education and Administration. |
